Janelle Mead is a fully qualified interior designer based in Brisbane, working on property developments and premium builds from $2 million in build budget.
Design has been a constant throughout Janelle's life. From reworking her family's kitchen as a teenager, to a move from New Zealand to Australia and acquiring a formal design qualification in each country, and years of hands-on industry experience since.
Years spent building her craft by liaising directly with builders, mastering materials and product knowledge, and developing a considered eye for colour and space has led Janelle to launch her own studio, built on a simple belief: that great design should be beautiful and enduring.
Colour sits at the centre of how Janelle designs; the way it interacts with natural light, materials, and the architecture of a space shapes every decision she makes. It's this attention to detail that lets a home or development feel complete on day one, but still feels considered a decade on.
Today, Janelle partners exclusively with developers and private clients building at $2 million and above. Her studio takes on a deliberately small number of projects each year; a structure that keeps her personally involved in every decision, from the first concept sketch through to the final handover.
